Copper Ridge Ranch – On-Site Optimization Works!
Written By: June Bachman ~ 2/17/2014 8:00:45 AM

One of bWyse’s recent website rebuilds is Copper Ridge Ranch.  Copper Ridge Ranch is home to Scott and Wendy Mason who together own and manage a full service horse boarding, training and breeding facility in Ellensburg, Washington.  Scott and Wendy came to bWyse to rebuild their website.  The primary goal was to present a more professional image that better represented not only the horse training services they offered, but to also be found by more prospective clients in the Ellensburg, WA region.

As typical of Google, they’ve been making a lot of changes to their search engine over the past couple of years – and especially over the past six months.  Google works very hard to provide the “right” search results sought by users.  Panda and Penguin updates have certainly reduced the amount of spammy search results on top page results.  And Hummingbird was the implementation of an entirely new search engine system.  Needless to say, this has more than challenged internet marketers.  We’ve had to re-engineer and re-think many of the strategies used for building and optimizing website to rank well in the search engines.

This is where choosing bWyse is a good thing!  Wendy and I work continuously to stay up-to-date with these search engines updates, and incorporate those changes into our build processes.  And … the results are paying off!

Copper Ridge Ranch’s new website was launched at the end of January 2013.  And within two weeks, their new website was ranking on the first page of Google’s search engine results for two of their primary keyword phrases.  If you search “horse ranch Ellensburg” or “horse training Ellensburg” you will find their site listed 9th on Google for either keyword phrase.

Not only are the results fabulous … but how quickly Google responded to making the adjustment is a new thing as well.  Historically, it has taken months and months of work to move a website onto the first page results.  We are exceedingly pleased that with all of the changes that Google has made, perhaps how quickly our efforts can demonstrate results has also been improved as well.
