What Do You Look for in a Mentor?

BWYSEBLOG_Mentor.jpgMentors are great!  A good mentor will provide you with guidance, direction and wisdom.  All entrepreneurs should consider investing in a mentor.  In fact, entrepreneurs who invest in mentors double their chances of the five-year survival rate. 

Other benefits of mentorship include:

  • A Fresh Perspective
  • Advice, Counsel and Support
  • Wisdom and Experience

Qualities of a good mentor include:

  • Goal Oriented
  • Great Communicator
  • Confident – someone who feels like a friend, but is easily respected as a boss
  • NOT your boss!

One of the biggest challenges of entrepreneurship is working alone.  Working with a mentor will help offset feelings of “being alone” in your adventure.  Go find a great mentor and get energized!
