Why Your Website Hosting Should be Secured - Before January 2017
Written By: June Bachman ~ 9/14/2016 9:00:00 AM

BWYSEBLOG_SecuredHosting.pngGoogle wants all website to be more secure.  They want all website to be hosted on https:// as opposed to https://.  Less than .1% of all websites are hosted in a secure environment.  In fact, as of January 2017, Google will begin marking all https:// hosted websites as NON-secure.

This is nothing new, from Google’s perspective.  They’ve been encouraging website owners to move to https:// since August 2014.  It was at this point in time, that Google started giving an SEO bump to sites that are hosted in a secured environment.

Granted, due to the additional site and server configuration, as well as the additional costs associated with secured certificates, you’ll need to budget for a more expensive monthly hosting fee.

Not sure if your site is hosted in a secured environment?  Email Wendy@bWyse.com to have her check, and let you know your options!  Learn More!
