Google Arts & Culture app is the most popular app in the country. Have you downloaded and tried it yet? The Google Arts & Culture app was launched in 2015 – a project that collaborates museums and galleries from all over the world to share exhibits online.
At the end of last year, the “Portrait Yourself” feature was added to the app. You take a selfie, and upload it. The app will find your doppelganger in the art world! Using facial recognition technology, Google is able to make the matches.
You can even search Google Images for interesting results! Some of the matches are really close … and others – not so much.
Google does promise that the selfie you upload is only used to make the match, and then it is deleted. They are not using the selfie for anything else, nor storing it.
