February Holiday Marketing Ideas

February has a few holidays with which we are all very familiar, such as:

Ground Hog Day on the 2nd
Super Bowl Sunday 5th
Valentine�s Day on the 14th
President�s Day on the 21st

But there are some really unusual holidays that you may have never heard of as well, during the month of February. Peruse through the list (at the bottom) to determine if any of these interesting holidays would serve to inspire your marketing ideas for next month!

Update your website with some Valentine�s Day artwork. If you�re a retailer, create a special offer for Valentine�s Day gifts. Send out an email blast to your contact list to inform them of your special offer.
Celebrate Mardi Gras this year by having a Fat Tuesday special. Don't forget the beads!
If you�re a real estate agent, capitalize on the fact that February is �Canned Food Month�. Advertise that during your open houses you will collect canned food to donate to your local food bank.
February 4th is Thank A Mailman Day. Send out an email blast reminding everyone to thank their mailman � and at the same time, thank your customers for their patronage. Remember to include your February specials!
During the Random Acts of Kindness Week, post a new status each day to your Facebook Fan Page sharing heart-warming acts of kindness that you collected from your customers. You could even have a mini-contest via your fan page to find the kindest act, act performed by the youngest person, you get the idea!
